NEW YEARS LITURGY

9am and 10:30am services resume January 9

NEW REST

As you being this New Year's Liturgy, take a moment to pause and reflect on 2021. How did God speak to you? What did He teach you? How did you experience His love? How did His love move you?

Next, spend time praying for the year to come. You may use these prompts to help you.

Pray for

The peace of God to give us the rest we so desperately need as we look ahead to another full year

The yoke of God to carry the burdens we’ve tried so hard to carry on our own

The love of God to move us to love the city around us

The fullness of God to clench our thirst and satisfy our hunger

The glory of God to be revealed through our daily lives

Listen to “All Glory Be To Christ”

All Glory Be To Christ

Should nothing of our efforts stand
No legacy survive
Unless the Lord does raise the house
In vain its builders strive
To you who boast tomorrow’s gain
Tell me what is your life
A mist that vanishes at dawn
All glory be to Christ!

All glory be to Christ our King!
All glory be to Christ!
His rule and reign we’ll ever sing
All glory be to Christ!

His will be done, His kingdom come
On earth as is above
Who is Himself our daily bread
Praise Him the Lord of love
Let living water satisfy
The thirsty without price
We’ll take a cup of kindness yet
All glory be to Christ!

All glory be to Christ our King!
All glory be to Christ!
His rule and reign we’ll ever sing
All glory be to Christ!

When on the day the Great I Am
The faithful and the true
The Lamb Who was for sinners slain
Is making all things new
Behold our God shall live with us
And be our steadfast light
And we shall ’er His people be
All glory be to Christ!

All glory be to Christ our King!
All glory be to Christ!
His rule and reign we’ll ever sing
All glory be to Christ!

Read Matthew 11:25-30

Come to Me, and I Will Give You Rest

25 At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; 26 yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. 27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
