Spiritual health is important during an isolated time of social distancing.Though social distancing is vital for our world to stay physically healthy during the outbreak of COVID-19, we want to give you a few ways to stay spiritually healthy as well.

PBC LIVING ROOM

Join us on Sundays as we gather online to worship together at www.phoenixbiblechurch.com/LivingRoom We have resources for PBC Kids, PBC Youth and resources to host an impactful gathering in your Living Room.

THE BIBLE APP + BIBLE PROJECT

Download the Bible App (youversion.com) if you haven’t yet and get started on some of their daily reading plans. If you need a place to start, begin with one by N.T. Wright called “Worry to Confident Hope: Praying Through the Lord’s Prayer”. You can also check out The Bible Project at thebibleproject.com for even more resources to increase spiritual health.

WORSHIPFUL GIVING – ONLINE

Each Sunday at 4002 N 18th Avenue, we participate in offering as we give back to the God who has given us everything. Although we’re unable to gather in our historic chapel at this time, we can still worship God with our offering. If you haven’t yet transitioned to online giving, take this opportunity to do so via PushPay or download the PBC App (which will also have helpful content) on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

INTENTIONAL PRAYER

If you follow Phoenix Bible Church on Instagram, you probably saw Pastor Tim and Jaya lead a time of prayer on IGTV. We prioritize prayer as part of our spiritual health and will provide resources often to help you with your own times or prayer. We’ve also linked a PDF that will walk you through The Lord’s Prayer.

COMMUNITY GROUPS

Currently, our Community Groups are “gathering” via Facebook Messenger video calls and Groupme for messaging. If you’d like more information about our groups, email community@phoenixbiblechurch.com

SERVE YOUR CITY

– Support local restaurants with takeout and delivery (over-tip, too)– Buy a gift card to use at a later date– Leave a 5-star review for your favorite businesses
*We love our city and God has placed our Kingdom Outpost in the heart of Phoenix. Many local businesses in central Phoenix rely on the patronage of people. We want to be known for loving people like Jesus and caring for people in need. Right now – people in the hospitality industry are feeling the pinch of this season in a big way.

CARE FOR OTHERS

– Consider buying groceries for the elderly couple on your block.– Call a college student who feels stranded in an empty dorm.– Send postcards to nursing homes (they feel very isolated right now)

CONNECT CREATIVELY WITH PEOPLE

– Video Call each other with apps like FaceTime or Google Duo. – Use a website like Pogo.com to play games together.– Order takeout for at-home date nights.– Watch the same movie as your siblings and review it in iMessage.

We love you and we desire health in all facets of your life. We hope this list is helpful for spiritual health in this season. Love Moves,Kyle McLain + Staff of Phoenix Bible Church
