“Lies About Love” | Week 4
“Time Heals All Wounds” | Colossians 3:12-15
No one is immune to conflict. Even as we look at our bibles, peace and perfection lasts a mere two chapters in the book of Genesis. From Genesis 3 on, conflict has invaded and divided marriages, families, friendships, and even communities. And with conflict comes hurt, and sometimes deep wounds.
A lie we often believe in conflict is “time heals all wounds” or maybe we say something like, “just give it time”. The reality is time may conceal wounds, but it doesn’t magically heal them. Just like physical wounds, emotional and relational wounds need intentional care and attention in order to experience healing. In the gospel, we find the power and the plan that will bring true healing in relationships.
Join us Sunday as we look biblically and practically at conflict in relationships. Read ahead in Colossians 3:12-15 and pray that God would use this sermon to “let peace rule in your heart.”
